Workshop: Hypothesis Testing and Data Analysis

Beschreibung:
In this two-day workshop, we will begin with an overview of the theory behind hypothesis testing in scientific research, including guidance on when to use specific statistical tests such as the t-test and ANOVA. Following this, we will dive into data analysis using JASP, a free, dedicated statistical software. Participants will learn how to perform various analyses, including ANOVAs, t-tests, linear and logistic regression, and power analysis, as well as how to interpret the results. We will also introduce JAMOVI, another similar software. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to ask questions related to their data analysis in JASP, JAMOVI, and R. The workshop will be structured to allocate approximately 30% of the time to theory and 70% to practical training.

Eligibility:

Bachelor’s students in their 4th semester or beyond, and master’s students. Please note that there are only 20 seats available due to logistical constraints, and they will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We discourage dropouts to ensure that the limited seats are effectively utilized. This entire workshop will be in English language.

Date: 6th-7th July 2024.
Time: 09:00 - 19:00 with 90 minutes lunch break. Last two hours of the day (17 to 19:00) will be doubt clearing session and students can leave early if they have no doubt.

Prerequisite: Students need to bring their laptops and be high in motivation! No other Prerequisite
